Google+ (Google Plus) now open for Everyone!

Date: 20 Sep 2011 Comments:Comments Off

Google has announced today that they will now open their Google+ (Google Plus) service to everyone

Well, after 12 weeks, Google+ (Google Plus) has finally opened their service to everyone.  Google has been testing this new service for weeks in, Google Style.

mjaUSA has been watching this service closely over the past couple of weeks.  Trying to determine if Google+ will have any major benefit for online marketing.  Facebook and Twitter have established themselves as the leader in social media.  Anyone in business, an organization, or cause should have both a Twitter account and a Facebook account.  Do they need a Google+ account?  Do we need to be part of the Google+ world to be anymore successful on the internet?

These questions are tough to answer.  However, one has to consider a few things.  One, Google+ is going to add search to their service.  One of the best search engines on the planet.  Second, Google+ has a large following, internationally.  Thus, they can easily get millions to join their Google+ service.  Thirdly, we are sure that at one point, Adwords & Adsense will be part of the whole service project.  If not the actual Adwords then something that will add to the advertizing product offered by Google.

After talking among our network of professional web experts we have determined that being part of Google+ service experience is a must.  We recommend that everyone take either a Fast Tract Approach and maximize on the initial impact of Google+ or or, we take it slow.  Taking it slow allows you to move along with the experience as “natural” forces created by people and others help you determine the right moves for your company, organization, or cause.  Jump on board the Google+ Service with mjaUSA helping you really take advantage of this opportunity.

If I create it… they will come… right?

One of the biggest problems I have seen over the years is the idea that if you create a website, buy a domain name, or use almost anything on the Internet it will solve your problems once you type that last word on the screen. This is so grossly untrue it will make your head spin!  There are so many people with junk ideas, spam, trickery, empty promises, and rip-offs it’s hard for the average person to figure out what direction to turn.

There are millions of websites that are created by professionals, business owners, and amateurs, all over the globe. Every single one of them want to be #1 on the Google Search or Yahoo Search. They all want their site to make them the next FaceBook, Twitter, or eBay sensation. But, as they discover at one point, “if they create it, they will not come”. It takes much more then creation for something to work. Just like it takes more than opening the doors to a new store. If you don’t promote or cause excitement about your brick-and-mortar  store, it will fail. It’s no different with websites or any other online product.

I have been in the Information Technology field for well over 18 years. I have been an “online expert” for most of those years (which means I sit on my computer with a blank face all day!). Back in the day, when BBS’s were big, and when you got a 2400 baud modem it was something to brag about. Well, over those many years I have learned what it takes to be successful online and what it takes to really make a mark. My company mjaUSA (http://mjausa.com) has taken years and years to develop and grow into something successful. Why? It’s because it took time, and learning, to understand what people need, and what was needed to help others.

This is how I learned that making a website is not something that is done during your spare time or when and if you have time to do it. It takes a motivated, focused, and detailed approach to be successful. I don’t care what the rest of the industry says! That’s a fact. No $39.95 SEO optimizations or “I guarantee this and that” is going to be a complete solution to any online project.

The other day I was watching a TV show on trueTV call Hardcore Pawn. I don’t remember the air date but the show I was watching was interesting. The young man (the son of the owner – I think) was responsible for overseeing their online store. Well, the dad didn’t see the value of taking employees off the floor (showroom floor) and using resources to “support” the online store. However, the son (if you know the name of the son and dad please tell me and I will edit this article) was intelligent and knowledgeable to know it takes human effort to be prosperous online. It takes resources and focus to “do it right”. The son was successful and proved his point when he sold an expensive pool table online. By providing the extra effort to the project and standing tall to his father, he was able to increase the bottom line at the shop. Outstanding example of what I am talking about in this article! It takes much more than a site creation to make it work online.

My feelings are that people need to know the facts. The truth about how it works online. If you can’t set-aside many hours of mutual consultation, resources, funding, and listen to the professionals, then you are better off not even starting a website. Unless your plan is to have an online business card. If that’s true, then contact me, and I will do that for free!

Anyway, I hope the main subject of what I’m trying to get out resonates with anyone the needs to know the truth. Please don’t be one of those sites that look horrible or even worst, ones that don’t answer e-mails or have pages/programming that doesn’t work. It makes you look real bad. Don’t waste your money on get rich quick scams or SEO optimization crap that gives you nothing of real value. Know it will take time and effort to make it work and there are people all over the globe that are capable of helping you succeed online.

If you create it then promote it.  If you create it then plan on working hard to make it work.  Work..work…work…. will get you results.  Using smart, “not-only-in-it-for-money” people and companies will also help you take it to the next level.  Stick with something you know and something you know other people in your network know something about.

Hope this helps!  Send me a note if you have any questions on anything related to this quick article.  I’m one of those, “not-only-in-it-for-money” people and enjoy helping fellow Americans.  Specially ones that have served our country!
